Columbia’s Conquest Brewing Co. celebrates its fourth anniversary this Saturday, Jan. 28, with the annual release of its massive imperial stout, The Finisher.
Every year, the brewery celebrates its birthday with a bottle release event for the 17.5% imperial stout brewed with brown sugar and honey and fermented with champagne yeast. For Year 4, Conquest will be offering three variants: The regular Finisher, Wild Turkey barrel-aged and Redemption Rye barrel-aged.
Tickets for the right to purchase bottles will be handed out beginning at 8 AM Saturday (and loyal drinkers have been known to begin lining up hours before). The first 50 ticket holders can purchase up four bottles of the original and two each of the barrel-aged versions. The next 30 can buy up to two regular and one each of the barrel-aged. Following that, sales of the remaining bottles will be open on a first come, first served basis.
Bottles will cost $20 each for the regular and $25 each for the barrel-aged. A charity bottle share will also begin at 10 AM (the same time bottles go on sale) which you can participate in for a $5 donation.
Food trucks will be on site beginning mid-morning. The taproom will also be open as usual.
