Greenville’s Brewery 85 is beginning expanded distribution outside of the Upstate the week starting with Columbia, with launch events planned through the weekend.
The brewery has been teasing expansion into the Capital City recently with the resurrection of its #Hunt4B85 campaign, which showcased different beer spots and breweries across the city. On Monday, they announced their planned rollout for Columbia, which begins midweek.
The first official launch event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Craft and Draft on Devine Street from 5-7 PM. Following that, on Friday, Aug. 29, Green’s Piney Grove will feature Brewery 85 as part of its weekly tasting from 5-7 PM, and then they’ll move on to Lexington’s Keg Cowboy from 8 PM until.
Saturday, Aug. 30 will be a busy one for the brewery. From noon to 3 PM, Total Wine on Harbison will host a launch event. Then on Saturday evening, a bar crawl will be held through the Vista with stops at World of Beer, Flying Saucer and Liberty Tap Room beginning around 5 PM.
As a result of the Columbia festivities, Brewery 85’s taproom will be closed on Saturday, but open Thursday and Friday as usual.
