Brewery 85 expanding distribution, exploring canning in 2015

Brewery85As the brewery approaches its first anniversary (which is being held Jan. 31), Brewery 85 is readying to expand its distribution footprint in the new year, as well as work toward canning some of its core brands.

Having expanded into the Columbia market in late 2014, the Greenville brewery announced Tuesday it’ll be continuing to expand distribution in early 2015. B85 has signed a deal with Comer Distributing to bring product to the area around Columbia, eventually expanding into a majority of the state by the end of January and statewide by year’s end.

Additionally, cans could be on the horizon. The brewery is looking into the possibility of canning some of its core brands by late 2015.

In other Brewery 85 news, it’ll be expanding taproom hours following the holidays. Beginning the week of Jan. 5, the taproom will be open 4-8 PM Wednesdays and Thursday; 2-8 PM Fridays; and noon to 5 PM Saturdays.
