In the wake of its first anniversary party on Jan. 31, Brewery 85 will be holding back-to-back releases for two new barrel-aged variants of their beers in February.
The Greenville brewery has been amassing a respectable barrel program since opening early last year and has already released a handful of barrel-aged beers, including a Van Winkle BA take on its Yeoman’s American Brown Ale last November. On Feb. 20 and 21, they’ll be holding release parties for barrel-aged versions of their Quittin’ Time Helles Bock and Country Quad.
Up first is Six & Twenty BA Quittin’ Time, being released on Friday, Feb. 20. The 8% Helles Bock was aged in a variety of barrels from the Piedmont-based distillery and then blended together. The beer will be tapped at 5 PM with representatives from the distillery hanging out later in the evening. It’ll be draft only. More details here.
That release will be followed by the unveiling of Maker’s Mark BA Country Quad on Saturday, Feb. 21. The 9.4% Belgian-style quad has been aging in barrels since last summer and will be on tap for both pints and growler fills that day beginning at noon. More details on that release here.
