Rock Hill’s Legal Remedy Brewing Co. has been serving up justice(-themed beers) for two years now, and on Saturday, Aug. 27, the Upstate brewery will celebrate its anniversary with a day of special releases and revelry.

Located at 129 Oakland Ave. just off Rock Hill’s Main Street, LRB will host the event all day (noon to 11 PM) at the brewery. Admission is $5 and comes with an anniversary glass, with beer and food tickets costing an additional $5 each.

Speaking of beer, in addition to their current tap list the brewery will be releasing a number of new beers throughout the afternoon, including Beerthday Lemon Drop Double IPA, their anniversary 8.9% DIPA brewed with lemon drop hops (which they’ll have a cask of as well) and Bourbon Barrel Aged Spiced Ale, a 9% spiced ale brewed with honey and barrel-aged for six months.

You can see a full list of special tappings, the music lineup and more here.

LRB started as a group of homebrewers in 2009 (“a lawyer, a landscape architect, two bankers and a computer guy,” according to their website) and sold its first commercial batch in 2014. The brewery has expanded distribution throughout the state but is currently in the midst of changing distributors and installing a canning line, so their outside distribution has scaled back for the time being.

If you have yet to visit the brewery (or visit downtown Rock Hill), this is a perfect opportunity.
