Asheville, NC-based Hi-Wire Brewing announced Monday it was beginning a statewide distribution rollout in South Carolina, the first state outside of North Carolina to receive the brewery’s beer.
One of the many breweries located on Asheville’s South Slope, Hi-Wire was ranked the Best New North Carolina Brewery of 2013 by RateBeer. In addition to their original location, the brewery recently opened a 27,000-square-foot “Big Top” production facility, which has helped them increase distribution.
Hi-Wire officially launched in the Charleston market on Monday, Sept. 7, and will continue to rollout distribution in the state through October. Brewery representatives will be in the Spartanburg, Greenville and Columbia the week Sept. 28 and Myrtle Beach the week of Oct. 20 for events. Hi-Wire will be distributed by KW Beverage in Greenville and Columbia; Budweiser of Spartanburg in Spartanburg; Southern Eagle in Charleston and Hilton Head; and Yahnis Company in Myrtle Beach.
The brewery’s rollout will include their four flagship beers – Hi-Pitch IPA, Bed of Nails Brown, Hi-Wire Lager and Prime Time Session Pale Ale – as well as limited releases including Zirkusfest Oktoberfest Lager and experimental IPAs and saisons.
“We couldn’t be more excited about entering our first market outside of North Carolina,” said Adam Charnack, co-founder of Hi-Wire Brewing, in a release. “We brew a product that we love and are proud of, beers we believe in, why wouldn’t we want to share that with craft beer drinkers outside of our state?”
