Quest recently hosted the fine folks from Asheville, NC’s Burial for a collaboration brew day, the result of which will debut in the Greenville brewery’s taproom Thursday, April 23.
On Tuesday, March 31, the Burial crew rolled down from north of the border to spend the day brewing in the Upstate. The final product from that collaboration is Calumet (the name for a Native American peace pipe), a 5% ABV strawberry rhubarb grisette. Grisette, generally considered a lost style, originated in French Wallonia in southern Belgium. They’re low ABV beers akin to saisons and were favored by working-class individuals, such as miners and factory workers.
As with most spring nights at Quest, food and music will be on hand. More information about the release here.
