The latest batch of COAST’s barrel-aged Blackbeerd imperial stout will be released Friday, April 10, at a special event that includes food, music and – fitting for a barrel-aged beer – whiskey.
Beer, Chicken, Whiskey will act as the unveiling of the 2015 barrel-aged version of the North Charleston brewery’s annual imperial stout, which this year was aged in Willett Straight Rye barrels. (Previous releases have aged in Jack Daniel’s, Buffalo Trace and Blanton’s barrels.) Attendees will be able to sample the whiskey itself as well as enjoy fried chicken from Chick’s Fry House and music from the Whigs and Punk and Snakes. Everyone gets to take home a bottle of BA Blackbeerd as well.
