The All About Beer Magazine-sponsored World Beer Festival returns to Columbia on Saturday, Jan. 17, and as they did last year, AAB representatives are collaborating with a Columbia brewery on a special beer for the event.
Friday, staffers from the magazine stopped by Columbia’s River Rat Brewery to work on an American IPA that will be on tap at the brewery’s table during the festival. The beer will also be available around Columbia at select locations leading up to the day of the festival.
Last year, AAB collaborated with Conquest to brew an American Porter that debuted at the festival, along with two treatments (Coffee Vanilla and Chocolate Cherry). The beer was so popular that Conquest recently re-brewed it, and it’s currently on tap in their tasting room.
The World Beer Festival will be held at the Columbia Convention Center from noon to 4 PM and 6-10 PM. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
