Charleston’s Freehouse Brewery has been up and brewing for just about a year now, and the riverfront brewery plans to celebrate its first year in the Holy City this Saturday, Nov. 15, with its first anniversary party.
Since opening last year, things have been going well for the organic brewery situated along the Ashley River. They’ve recently added new fermentation tanks to increase output and a few months back began expanding distribution outside of the Charleston area, including bottling their flagship Ashley Farmhouse Ale. Former Westbrook head brewer Scott Koon also joined the team this past summer.
On Saturday, the brewery will be tapping Sourlina Peche, a peach sour made with a few hundred pounds of South Carolina peaches. Bands and food trucks will also be on hand to help celebrate, and the brewery’s regular lineup will also be on tap to enjoy.
The festivities run from 1-8 PM at the brewery, 2895 Pringle St. in North Charleston.
