Charlotte’s Four Friends expands SC distribution (?)

This one must have sneaked in under the radar, but apparently Four Friends Brewing out of Charlotte may have begun – or will soon begin? – expanding distributing in South Carolina.

At least one of the NC brewery’s beers – their 6.6% Uptown Brown ale – is now on tap at Columbia’s Flying Saucer. Four Friends is signed with Comer Distributing Inc. out of Rock Hill, which distributes to a lot of SC counties including Richland (and with it, Columbia).

The other day I teased forthcoming news about new breweries planning to distribute in SC, but I’ll be honest: Four Friends was not one I heard about. I’ll have more information as I learn it.

Clarification: This is not the first time Four Friends has distributed in Columbia, but not their first time in South Carolina. Fort Mill’s Grapevine wine and beer store has previously carried them.
