You’ll have to wait a little while longer for cans of it, but in the meantime, Westbrook‘s Gose will return to draft and bottles beginning next week.
The tart and salty 4% German-style sour wheat beer returns just in time for the warmer weather. You can expect a canned version to arrive this summer, at which time it will promptly become my go-to summer beer.
One of the earliest events announced for Charleston Beer Week was a visit from Charlie Papazian, president of the Brewers Association, author of The Complete Joy of Home Brewing and all-around rock star in the craft beer world.
Papazian visited Charleston on Monday as part of a week-long East Coast beer tour stretching from Washington, D.C., down the coast. He spent the day touring Westbrook and Palmetto, meeting with the S.C. Brewers Association at COAST and finished up at Holy City for a the kickoff of the Iron Brew competition.
