Charleston Beer Week is just a couple of weeks away, and with each passing day comes the announcement of more and more events being held in the Holy City.
Speaking of Holy City, they’ll be kicking off the festivities on Monday, April 22, with a visit from master homebrewer Charlie Papazian. He’ll be stopping by the brewery to talk shop with homebrewers from across the state, and Holy City is using that meeting as an opportunity to kick off their second annual Iron Brew competition.
The homebrew competition gives homebrew teams the chance to show what they’re made of, with the ultimate winner earning a chance to brew their beer at Holy City and have it served at the Mellow Mushroom in Charleston.
Registration opens April 22 and the ingredient all brewers must use will be announced May 22.
