Anderson’s Carolina Bauernhaus and Charleston’s Freehouse Brewery will release the first bottles of their new collaboration series this weekend.
Freehaus, as the series has been dubbed, is a collaboration in which “our breweries are sharing barrels, yeast, and most importantly ideas,” according to a release. Jupiter Gold is the first release in that series. The beer is a 6.4% golden sour fermented in Freehouse’s sour tanks with Bauernhaus’ native yeast, matured for close to a year in Cabernet barrels and blended with more than 200 pounds of Jupiter grapes from the Upsate.
As usual, the beer will be available in 750 ml bottles limited to 10 per person. Bottles will go on sale at Carolina Bauernhaus this Saturday, Jan. 14. More details here.
