The second brewery to call Mount Pleasant home will host opening events throughout this coming weekend.
Ghost Monkey Brewery – a 2,800-square-foot facility, with more than 60% of that making up the taproom – will hold its grand opening July 15-17. The small three-barrel operation will have food trucks and live music on hand throughout the weekend.
The current tap list includes beers such as Slap Yo Self (6.2% coffee pale ale), Sour Shart (a 5% sour brown ale), Cup o’ JoJo (6.7% coffee stout) and Cat’s Meow (5.9% saison). Bonus points for the names, GM.
The brewery will be open 4-10 PM Friday the 15th; 11 AM to 10 PM Saturday the 16th; and noon to 6 PM Sunday the 17th. Ghost Monkey is located at 522 Wando Lane in Mount Pleasant. More details and photos of the space are available here.
