Today, James Island’s Tradesman brewery is getting ready for the release of its first two barrel-aged beers, which will be available at the brewery later this week.
Bottling began Monday morning on the two upcoming releases: BA Coconuts & Bolts, an 8.5% chocolate coconut stout, and BA Elbow Grease, a 10.5% imperial red rye ale. Each of the beers have been aging in Willet Rye whiskey barrels for the past seven months.
The beers will be released to the public this Friday, March 4, beginning at 5 PM. Bombers are limited to two of each per person for $15 a pop. Or, if you’re a member of the brewery’s Union Club, you can pick up bottles this Wednesday, March 2.
