On Thursday, February 27, the Columbia-area Flying Saucer is scheduled to host a beer dinner featuring brews from Columbia’s own Conquest Brewing Co. and food from Saucer’s next-door neighbors, The Mamas & The Tapas. This will be the first time on of Saucer’s beer dinners will feature Columbia’s first post-prohibiton production brewery.
There will be seven Conquest beers (including two new ones) to enjoy paired with four courses. Here’s the menu:
Second course: A new saison paired with a chickpea salad with cumin vinaigrette on a bed of spring lettuce and mint
Third course: Sacred Heart IPA and Warrior Heart IPA paired with Bulgogi Korean pork and spiced beef on fried rice
Fourth course: Medusa Stout paired with cheesecake with a chocolate sauce drizzle and fresh berries
