Between staff turnovers and the arrival of a brewery namesake’s first child, 2014 has been a relatively slow year for the normally new release-heavy Westbrook Brewing Co. But as they have every year since their inception, the Mount Pleasant brewery is getting ready to release another anniversary beer.
Westbrook’s fourth anniversary beer is the straightforwardly named Chocolate Coconut Almond Imperial Stout, coming in at 10% and aged on toasted coconuts, who roasted almonds and vanilla beans. Final preparations were being put on the beer late last week. As with previous anniversary releases, wide distribution is likely. Look for it on shelves by the end of the year.

Chocolate Coconut Almond Imperial Stout joins previous anniversary releases Orange Bliss, Cap’n Skoon’s Ballistic Stout and Mexican Cake.

That one sounds great! Interested in trades??
