In another under-the-radar launch, Salt Lake City, UT’s Uinta Brewing Co. began distribution in South Carolina this week.
Distribution to SC has already started in the Upstate, with Spartanburg and Greenville (where they’re repres both receiving products first. The Greenville Beer Exchange and Community Tap received their first shipments today, which included Baba Black Lager, Hop Nosh IPA and more. No word yet on when or if distribution will be expanded in the state. Uinta is already widely available in North Carolina and Georgia.
Uinta first opened in SLC in 1993, eventually expanding into a 26,000-square-foot facility – one that is completely powered by wind – in 2001. Among their offerings are many that are USDA-certified organic, and the brewery is well-known for its Crooked Line, which includes their anniversary Birthday Suit Sour Brown Ale and Oak Jacked Imperial Pumpkin Ale.
