The Capital City’s first brewery tour business gets rolling this Friday, Nov. 7, as the Columbia Brew Bus begins its weekly tours of Columbia’s breweries.
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign to help with minor cosmetic upgrades and some internal renovations, the brew bus will begin holding tours Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting this week. Tours will run 5:30-9 PM on Fridays and 3-6:30 PM on weekends.
During a preview tour Sunday, Nov. 2, the Brew Bus staff gave an idea of what each of the weekly trips will be like. The rotation of the breweries will change, but the bus will take riders to Swamp Cabbage, River Rat and Conquest where they’ll have the chance to try 24 oz. of beer at each brewery (generally a few options for flights and a pint of the drinker’s choice), private tour of the brewery with time for Q&A and the opportunity to purchase merch or beer to take home (which can be stored in coolers on the bus between stops). Snacks and water will be provided between breweries.
