It’s been just a few months since River Rat opened for business, but the Columbia brewery is already expanding its production in advance of more packaging.
Thursday, the brewery became home to three new 30 BBL fermenters, which should be online within the next month. The new equipment will be a sizable expansion for the brewery as it readies to begin bottling many of its beers.
“We appreciate our customers so much and we want to thank you for your support in our efforts. We want to expand our brand into packaging other than kegs to reach a larger fan base,” the brewery wrote on its Facebook page.
Since opening earlier this year, River Rat has already begun distribution into South Carolina’s major beer marketsĀ of Charleston and Greenville. Look for bottles to hit store shelves within the coming months.
