After teasing a move for some time, Frothy Beard today announced West Ashley will be the home of their new and much larger brewery later this year.
Since recently partnering with Push Digital, a Charleston-based digital communications firm, the North Charleston brewery has been planning a move to a new and expanded facility. On Thursday, the Frothy crew announced a former church in the Ashley Landing center of West Ashley (1401 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., to be exact) will be their new home when it opens later this year.
The current three-barrel brewhouse will be expanded by 400%, according to Push CEO and brewery partner Wesley Donehue, and the future facility will include the largest indoor taproom in the Charleston area.
Additionally, the space will also house Push’s offices – a dangerous yet logical positioning, especially during campaign season – as well as a brick-and-mortar location for Zombie Bob’s Pizza, a popular pizza food truck in the area. The brewers plan to incorporate their beer into pizza recipes and produce beer just for the restaurant.
Look for Frothy Beard 2.0 to be up and running this fall.
