Next up on the release calendar for Greenville’s Brewery 85: A version of their Great Danish Belgian Strong Ale aged in a variety of different bourbon barrels.
Great Danish clocks in at 10.6% ABV and is brewed with floor-malted rye and pilsner malt from Riverbend Malt House, local organic honey from South Carolina’s Bee Well Honey Farms, and German hops. The barrel-aged version is a blend of the beer that’s been hanging out in Knob Creek, Heaven Hill and Four Roses bourbons barrels, and it makes its debut at the brewery Wednesday beginning at 4 PM.
