Details on Conquest’s Greenville launch

If you haven’t heard, Columbia’s Conquest brewery is expanding into the Greenville market later this month, marking the brewery’s move into its first major market outside of the Midlands. And for their launch, the brewery has lined up a range of events at some of Greenville’s biggest beer spots. Here’s where Greenvillians can get their first taste in the coming weeks.

The official Greenville launch will be Thursday, February 20 at the Greenville Green’s location. From 4-7 PM, Heather and brewer/co-owner Joseph Ackerman from Conquest will be on hand sampling a range of Conquest’s beers, including Artemis Blonde, Sacred Heart IPA, Warrior Heart IPA, Medusa Stout, Brutus Imperial Stout and their brand new Saison, a 6.3% farmhouse ale brewed with Pacific Jade hops and fermented with SouthYeast Labs yeast cultured from fruits in Clemson. If you buy two growler fills, you’ll get a free Conquest growler (while supplies last).

The following Thursday, February 27, Heather and fellow brewer/co-owner Matt will be at two locations: the Greenville Beer Exchange and Barley’s . From 5-7 PM, you can sample and get growler fills of Artemis, Warrior Heart, Medusa and their brand new Scotch Ale (6.6%, fermented with traditional Edinburgh yeast) at GBX. Immediately following that, from 7-9 PM, Barley’s will have Artemis, Sacred Heart, Warrior Heart, Medusa, Brutus and the Saison on tap. Some schwag should be on hand as well. Also that night, The Velo Fellow will have Artemis on tap.

Following those events, Conquest will begin popping up at different spots around the city. (They’re already working to secure more accounts.) You’ll also find them at the grand re-opening of The Community Tap as well as the Community Tap Craft Beer Festival on April 5.
