A little more than a year after first launching in Columbia, Conquest will be expanding to its first market outside of the Midlands area beginning next month.
While the final details are still being worked out, officials with both the brewery and its distributor, Budweiser of Columbia, confirmed Monday that talks to bring Conquest to the Greenville area had commenced. A tentative launch date of February 10 is being eyed. Conquest will likely use the Budweiser affiliate in Greenville for distribution there.
Conquest has said it plans to eventually be available statewide but expansion outside of the Midlands would occur only after local demand could be met. The brewery has shipped occasional kegs to bars outside of the Columbia area and was a presence at the 2013 Brewvival festival, but this deal marks the first time the Columbia brewery will officially be distributed in an outside market. Expect draft of the brewery’s year-round offerings up first.
