Holy City, Charleston chocolatier team up for ‘fancy stout’

The folks at Holy City aren’t letting a little vandalism get them down. Just a day after someone did some damage their boiler, the Charleston brewery was back at it cooking up something new.

The brewery is teaming up with Sweeteeth‘s Johnny Battles, a North Charleston-based chocolate maker, to create a caramel stout (or, as they dubbed it, a “fancy stout.”) Having had Sweeteeth’s PB&C bar – peanut butter and chipotle – I can say this guy makes awesome chocolate. And Holy City makes awesome beer, so what’s not to like?

The beer should hit Holy City’s taproom in a couple of weeks.

On a related note, I’m gonna need someone to grab a growler of this for me.
