Two new Conquest beers released St. Pat’s weekend

You don’t have to be Irish to get lucky this weekend. If you’re in Columbia, you just have to be at the right bar at the right time.

Conquest is going to make avoiding the insanity of the annual St. Pat’s in 5 Points celebration a little easier by releasing rare, one-off brews at different locations across Columbia on Saturday. And with the way Conquest’s beers have been received lately, if you snooze this weekend, you lose.

So, what’s on tap and where? There will be two different new Conquest beers available:

  • The St. Patty’s Stout, an Irish dry stout made just for St. Patrick’s Day, will be on tap at Green’s Piney Grove; The British Bulldog Pub on Bower Parkway; Burger Tavern 77 on Devine Street; and World of Beer in The Vista.
  • Medusa Irish Coffee Stout will also be on tap, but there will be only one – yes, ONE – keg available in the entire city, and that will be at the Cock n’ Bull Pub on Rosewood.

I don’t have many details about either beer, but if you’ve tried Bipolar High Roller, Conquest’s Irish dry stout brewed with peppers, you’re aware they know how to make a great twist on a classic style.

I’ll update with more details as they become available, but it’s safe to say you’ll want to hit up some local watering holes and avoid 5 Points this Saturday.
