Inaugural Community Tap Beer Fest sells out

It took a couple of months to get there, but on Thursday morning the first-ever Community Tap Beer Fest officially sold out of its allotment of 400 tickets.

Being held April 13 at Larkin’s Sawmill at North Main, the inaugural festival – put on by the good folks at The Community Tap in Greenville – will feature dozens of beers from 30 different local national breweries. If you didn’t get a ticket in time, you’ll be missing out on a hell of a beer selection that will only get better. (The full list should be online March 1.)

After talking about the festival with TCT co-owner Mike Okupinski earlier this week, I can say he and everyone else involved are putting their hearts and souls into making sure the festival will be a great one. The venue allots for rain or shine – so no mud pits a la Brewvival – and there will be some incredibly unique and one-off beers on hand you won’t be able to sample anywhere else.

Congratulations to everyone involved. April 13 can’t get here soon enough.
