One of the best beers I had all year, and at all in general. I really wish I could have tried an Enjoy By. Hopefully SC will be picked for a release sometime.

I know Parabola is not new but it was one of my favorites this year. I also loved the Stone Ruination Anniversary this year as well as the Enjoy By from Stone as well. Of all the beers I have had this year those three stand out.

Being a hophead, that’s music to my palate. And that is a damn fine list, sir. Hopslam still remains my favorite beer. I’m anxiously awaiting next year’s batch.

I’ve tried everything they’ve put out so far, but only recently have they turned from a brewery whom I thought released unbalanced beers to one that more impresses. This will forever be the Year I Found IPAs. Until this year, I didn’t quite have the taste for the bitterness that IPAs offered, but like many things I just hadn’t had the right ones. I stumbled upon Hopslam and have been diving headfirst down the rabbit hole since. Granted some of these beers have been around a long time, but they are new to me:

My top 5:
1. Bell’s Hopslam
2. Coast’s Boy King (2012)
3. Westvleteren 12
4. Pliney the Elder
5. Bell’s This One Goes to 11

Happy New Year!
